Celebrate Holiday Traditions with My Family

Come join me in the kitchen as I share the flavors, stories, and traditions that have shaped my life and the way I cook. This cookbook is filled with 50 of my favorite recipes — each accompanied by a photo and a personal story to take you on a journey from my home to yours.

The book is organized into five special chapters, each one featuring a complete dinner menu—from appetizer to dessert—along with thoughtfully selected wine pairings. Every chapter is designed to help you host unforgettable gatherings and inspire meaningful memories and traditions around your table.

  • There’s nothing like Sunday dinner in an Italian home — the aromas, the laughter, and the food made with love. In this chapter, I share the dishes that made Sundays special in my family: my grandmother’s meatballs and sauce, handmade cavatelli, Italian wedding soup, and of course, cannoli for dessert. Each recipe is rooted in tradition, meant to be shared, and to bring people together — just like we did every Sunday.

  • Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays to host — a time to gather, reflect, and welcome spring with friends and family. This chapter features my go-to menu: burrata with tomatoes, baked stuffed shells, roasted rack of lamb, and a traditional Italian rice pie. Each dish is rooted in tradition and invites lasting memories around the table.

  • Summer BBQs are a time to enjoy the warmth of the season with good food and great company. In this chapter, I share recipes that bring the flavors of an Italian summer celebration to your table: pizza fritta, just like we had at the church Italian festival, a quick 20-minute marinara, a fun summer cake idea, and a refreshing panzanella salad. These dishes are perfect for enjoying long, sunny days outside with loved ones.

  • Friendsgiving is all about gathering your chosen family around the table, sharing laughter, stories, and of course—amazing food. This chapter is a tribute to that spirit—a menu full of bold flavors, comforting textures, and a little unexpected magic. Spice up your table with pumpkin pesto, lemon chicken, and my famous pumpkin chiffon pie. These recipes invite warmth into the heart of an American holiday, creating something that's both familiar and delightfully new.

  • There’s nothing quite like my family’s Christmas Eve dinner — the feast we wait all year to celebrate our Italian American tradition of serving a table overflowing with fish dishes that we make sure to count every year. In this chapter, I share the dishes that make this holiday our most coveted of the year: linguine with clams, calamari salad, stuffed filet of sole, branzino, baccala, and of course, my grandmother’s famous tiramisu for dessert. Each recipe is a celebration of Italian tradition, meant to be shared and enjoyed with those you hold dear — just like we’ve done every year.

  • There’s something truly special about the cookies my grandmother used to bake — the sweet aromas, the love in every bite, and the memories they bring. In this chapter, I share eight treasured recipes inspired by her, whose passion for baking sparked the creation of this entire book. Each recipe is filled with tradition, meant to be enjoyed with family, and to bring a little sweetness to your table — just like she did.

Whether you’re cooking for loved ones, hosting friends, or simply looking to reconnect with your roots, I hope this book brings a sense of nostalgia, joy, and togetherness to your table — just like it has to mine.

  • “This cookbook is awesome! Brings me back to the cooking our grandparents did when we were young!”

  • “There's so many reasons I love this cookbook. The delightful stories that go with the recipes make you feel like you're part of the family. The book is as pretty as the food is tasty.”
